Very apropos, I have been reading Murakami for the first time on this trip and after he won me over I loved it. Was a bit biased by the hype I guess, so at first I admittedly thought "is that it?" but he really grew on me.
So this picture had me smiling. Sorry Mr. Murakami - hope somebody sent you a bottle of schnapps or something.
We had 30-35-degrees every day and I fell very much in love with Italian food again. I used to be sucker but had my first disappointment in Venice with D the summer before last - super overpriced and generally horrible/bland. Wild hog with chocolate (!) sauce and almonds and the likes had me wheeled right back in.
Will try not to bore with the touristy images - but had to squeeze one in of the Duomo in Firenze.
would love to know the name of these flowers that were all over and smelled almost like caprifoleums - my favourite dad's boots gave up - Kamikaze-Storm P.-style oh, don't mind me - just spraying a teeny bit'o'pesticides all over what will later be drunk by human beings Combining Madonna and high-voltage - why not, I ask! the pøøl at favourite hotel Le Noci out in the Tuscanese sticks.
